Journey Around The Radiant Citadel

ADD TO WISHLIST >

While the writers of The Radiant Citadel dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to crafting captivating narratives and intricate lore for the 13 modules encompassing this book, they regrettably neglected to infuse the Citadel itself with substance.

Undeniably, the Citadel boasts stunning visual aesthetics, yet its purpose seems limited solely to serving as a conduit for reaching one of the founding civilizations. For those, like myself, who aspire to run this book as a coherent campaign, considerable effort must be invested in expanding the scope of the locations, the individuals, and the stories woven within the citadel. Fortunately, this supplement addresses precisely that need.

Contained within it's pages, you will discover an abundance of meticulously documented information concerning five distinct districts residing within the Citadel. This invaluable resource encompasses fresh locales, noteworthy NPCs, engaging downtime activities, intriguing adventure hooks, and even the potential for an otherworldly BBEG!

This Supplemnet adds the following new and original creations to The Radiant Citadel:

  • 34 locations
  • 27 npc's
  • 22 new 'magical' items
  • 21 new potions
  • 6 new magical narcotics
  • 5 new magical cocktails
  • New stat block for phase rats
  • A comprehensive list of clerical services
  • 1 open ended detective mystery
  • Comprehensive list of the founding civilisations, their speakers, the concord jewels and their destinations.

I enjoy the art but the placement of some of the images makes some of the text unreadable for those sections. The worst sections seem to be:
The Moorwood, Phase Rat, Leira Trading Company Ethereal Storage, PPP Potions, and May’s Marvellous Magical Mantraps

And there are other portions where parts of the text inhibit full readability of the paragraph and/or specific sentences. Hopefully this can be fixed!

My sincerest apologies, Dave! I didn't expect the PDF viewer to make a difference either but I downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader after reading your comment and sure enough it displayed the images and text perfectly.

I can't see this being anything on the fault of either of you at this point, but if you were curious about what I was seeing you may be able to recreate it using SumatraPDF v3.5.2. My apologies for assuming it was the fault of the creator(s)!

It cam to our attention via a review by Jarrod S. That this title was not copy and pastable. We hadn't realised that and as such have now fixed that in this title.

Yes, the cut and paste issue is fixed, making this an easy 5-star product. I have also changed my review to reflect this. Kudos to everyone who worked on this!

Glad you like it! Pete worked really hard on this one. If you could spare the time for a review he'd probably do a cartwheel. Well, he'd try to do a cartwheel. Well, he'd think about trying to do a cartwheel... Who am I kidding, he'd make himself a cocktail, cartwheels far from his mind...

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
